Position Summary:

World of Illumination is looking for a seasonal Event Manager to oversee our Holiday Drive Through light show located in Henderson, Nevada. This person is responsible for managing any and all daily park operations. This includes opening and closing procedures, ensuring all park protocols are being followed, managing park ambassadors, providing the ultimate guest experience, and uphold all park operations standards.

This position will begin on November 1, 2023 & will conclude on January 17, 2024 (11 weeks).

Salary / Benefits / Perks:

Salary contract is for $18,000 for entire run of show

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a passion for Entertainment Production by showcasing exceptional management, problem solving, and decision-making skills in a live entertainment and theme park setting. 
  • Represent the World of Illumination identity with charisma, professionally and tranquility, even in high stress situations. 
  • Oversee the Park Ambassadors and Technicians on a nightly basis.
  • Oversight of day-to-day operations and logistics of the event and be prepared to step into other roles as needed.
  • Manage park to ensure efficient vehicle throughput in order to reduce wait times, and prevent traffic from bleeding to city streets .
  • Manage all zones and Park Ambassadors constantly and consistently for guest experience quality assurance.
  • Communicate  with the Guest Relation Manager to ensure ultimate guest experience, and address any on-site guest relations issues or incidents. 
  • Ensure we are meeting adequate staffing requirements, staff training, technical requirements, and the on-site ticketing plan for guest services, box office, front gate, and ticket verification point.
  • Prepare daily/weekly event schedules and break times
  • Perform administrative duties such pulling order information from our ticketing system. 
  • Be familiar with all park positions and standards, and hold park ambassadors accountable for complying with WOI policies and standards.
  • Complete pre-show (phase sheet) form prior to park opening.
  • Complete production report at the end of each show.
  • Create an environment and culture to ensure staff retention.
  • Ensure Front of House mobile office is always organized and clean 
  • Ensure all equipment is ready on a nightly basis. Understand the park’s event operational plan to superiority.
  • Conducts any necessary news interviews, becoming that WOI representative for that particularly state.
  • Communicate with vendors and keep accurate vendor records.
  • Ensure merchandise inventory procedures are being followed and ensure all merchandise is accounted for on a nightly basis.
  • Feel comfortable with and be the main leader in executing Contingency Plans/Emergency Action Protocols.
  • Ensure any issues that occur at the front gate or in the park are responded to, documented, and handled appropriately.
  • Leading the day-to-day ticketing operations on-site including box office, FOH, admission scanners and POS systems.
  • Foster a warm and hospitable environment of Holiday magic for all.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Stage Management, Theatre, Film, Project Management, Customer Service Management, Event Planning or related field is preferred
  • Experience in Live Entertainment  
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Management 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with high-level organization skills 
  • Experience in Customer Service and communicating with a Ticketing/Guest Relations Team
  • Must have familiarity with both Microsoft and Apple operating systems, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite 
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in coordinating teams and executing multi-faceted plans, including contingency plans 
  • Proven conflict resolution and professionalism skills with customers and team members
  • Must be available to work evening shifts, weekends and holidays   
  • Able to use personal electronic devices, including a computer and cell phone to perform administrative duties 
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. unassisted   
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors (hot and cold weather conditions)
  • Have a love for leadership and producing immersive experiences!
  • Have a passion for family live entertainment and events.
